What is an “Easter Vigil?” It is an ancient service in the church not so unlike Christmas Eve services. The Vigil recalls teachings and stories of the Old Testament, which tell of God’s on-going love for the people.
The service takes place at night, like Christmas Eve, where lighted candles draw us out of the darkness of Good Friday into the joy of the Resurrection.
