This Week at New Spirit – May 6, 2026
Pastor’s Reflection
This past Sunday we talked about prayer—and specifically the question so many of us carry: when do I even have time to pray?
Here’s the truth: most of us don’t have hours each day to devote to prayer like Martin Luther did. And that’s okay. Prayer was never meant to be another burden or something we fail at. It’s meant to be part of real life.
Anytime is the right time for prayer.
That means prayer can happen while your coffee is heating up, when you get in the car, while you’re waiting in line, or even as you fall asleep at night. God meets us in those small, ordinary moments.
This week, I want to invite you to try something simple: pick one time each day to pray. Set a reminder if it helps. When it goes off, pause for just 10 seconds and pray for what’s in front of you or what’s on your heart.
No perfect words. No perfect setting. Just show up.

Life at New Spirit
Our Worship and Music team gathered this week to pray, reflect, and plan for the summer ahead. We’re excited about where this is heading and how it will shape our time together in worship. More to come soon.
Every week, we continue to see what happens when faith shows up in real life. Whether it’s through Second Saturday Blessings, supporting local schools, or simply showing up for one another, this community keeps finding ways to live out God’s love in tangible ways.
Thank you for being part of that.
